Drafts and Discourse. Join other issue-oriented people to quaff a brew and chew on the issues of the day. We will start off with a discussion topic and see where our ideas lead us.

Yes, this is the day before Thanksgiving this month - a good chance to unwind and talk policy and public events before meeting up with your relatives for dinner Thursday!

The tap room is on the second floor, an elevator provides access for all. Look for an LWV sign to find us, or ask the beer tender. See you at Torg!

Davanni's, 3430 129th Avenue NW, Coon Raids. LWVABC Board Meeting. All LWV ABC members are welcome to come to Board meetings. We gather at 11:30 a.m. to order our lunches. The business portion of the meeting is from noon until about 1:30. Please notify LWV ABC Interim President Gretchen Sabel a week in advance if you would like an item placed on the agenda.

Andover City Hall's Senior Center, 1685 Crosstown Blvd NW. Enter the parking lot from Crosstown Blvd.and proceed to the north end. Monthly Meeting. The LWV "Lively Issues" discussion will include information about Connexus Energy(CE), a member-owned electric cooperative. CE is Minnesota's largest member-owned electric company and serves more than 130,000 members in portions of Anoka, Chisago, Hennepin, Isanti, Ramsey, Sherburne, and Washington counties.

Former state legislator Kathy Tingelstad, a long-time LWV ABC member and a former challenger candidate for the Connexus Energy Board, will lead a discussion that will cover how the governing board is elected, if the board is transparent in its activities, and whether the board uses best practices in its governance.

The public is invited to the free monthly meeting.

Socializing and dinner start at 6:00 p.m. The program begins at 6:30 p.m.
