Andover City Hall's Senior Center, 1685 Crosstown Blvd NW, enter the parking lot from Crosstown Blvd.and proceed to the north end. Monthly Program Meeting. Annastacia Belladonna-Carrera, Common Cause Minnesota executive director, will speak on "Redistricting: Drawing Fair District Maps" on March 12 at the monthly LWV ABC Program Meeting at the Andover Senior Center, 1685 Crosstown Blvd (north end of City Hall).

The public is invited to attend a free light supper and socializing at 6 p.m. The presentation takes place at 7 p.m. in City Council chambers.

Every 10 years, states re-draw the boundaries of congressional and legislative districts. Redistricting is supposed to reflect changes in population and ensure that everyone is fairly represented and grouped by compact boundaries indicative of common area interests and concerns. Politicians draw districts to give themselves or their party an unfair advantage by drawing boundaries in accordance with political affiliations. Common Cause believes voters should choose their representatives, not the other way around.
